Want to visit Turkey
Born in Turkey, moved to USA when I was 2 years old.
I am now 55 and would like to go on a holiday to Istanbul. I'm told I might have issues with being drafted to the military, and or pay a hefty fine instead of serving! Is there any truth to this???
I've gotten inconsistent answers in the past.
Would love a reliable,concrete answer...

I'm an American citizen most of my life in nyc and met a nice pretty young woman from Turkey who might be here illegally(?).
she works at some Turkish owned place in Times Square selling Turkish food with a lot of other food places who will all close down late Oct.
can't your Consulate help a young Turkish woman with some f/t employment in nyc or NJ?
sincerely
eric
