Comments on this Permanent Mission to the UN
I was a disgruntled customer, citizen, wondering why my passport renewal had to take so long. But,after much queries,I was informed that due to illegal acts of duplicating documents of the state, the Ministry was forced to re issue new documents and so all paperwork was delayed.
To my surprise3 months after my application was processed and I made numerous calls,I received a message from the Trinidad consulate in New York that my passport was ready for collection.
I want to say thanks for delivering the documents in as appropriate a time that was feasible.
Politrics, short staffed, forgery all sorts of excuses have been used as to why a documents takes more than 3 months to be processed and returned to New York city, the World Financial Capital. I do not want to bad talk my country, but this is ridiculous! Do u guys have any ideas the discomfort both mentally, financially, emotionally and physically, you guys are causing. My upset is that I need my passport in order to obtain valid I.D.and travel outside the country. Thanks for RUINING a well orchestrated family vacation hat was in the making 1 year ago! Trinidad and Tobago's Embassy may need to be shamed into submission.
I HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH A RUN AROUND ABOUT A BIRTH CERTIFICATE THIS IS PITIFUL. JUST A BIRTH . I CALLED NY EMBASSY TO NO AVAIL IT HAS BEEN OVER 3 MONTHS WAITING. I CALLED NYC AND TRINIDAD. THIS IS TERRIBLE. WHAT COULD MAKE JUST A BIRTH CERTIFICATE SO HARD TO GET
I'd like to say Thanks to my Trini Embassy in London. You guys have been doing agreat job. Don't worry about all these Trinis always complaining.
It's nice to know that here in Europe we have a GREAT EMBASSY and a staff who is always willing. KEPP UP THE GOOD WORK!
A true Trini who appreciates your job, and knows how difficult it is.
Its the worst I ever came across. Nationals from other Caribbean islands don't go through this torture. I'm ashame.
Trinidad consulate is very unprofessional & have no regards
For people situation since February 2014 to present May 2014
I am waiting for my passport and no one in the consulate seems
To care. I told them my urgency for the need of my Passport but they don't care. I am an elderly woman that needs to get my passport to travel due to an extreme emergency but they Do not care. I was told today 5/23/14 there is a strive in Trinidad. A passport renewal should not this long. Trinidad consulate should be customer friendly representing our country but no they are not professional at all.
I thought the Trinidad Consulate in NYC was better than in Trinidad, but its not and the same mentality still exits, why pay people for work they are not doing. I am trying to download a passport form and unable to it says the system is under development, Trinidad does need development
