SUCH A SORRY REPRESENTATION
I FLEW IN FROM ANOTHER STATE TO GET MY PASSPORT 3 WEEKS AGO. AFTER GOING BACK AND FORTH TO THE T&T PASSPORT OFFICE I HAD TO CATCH MY FLIGHT BACK WITHOUT COMPLETING MY APPLICATION. A 10:00 AM APT WITH THE PERSON WHO DOES THE NOTERY TURN INTO 11:15 AM, I HAD TO SEE HIM BECAUSE MY MOTHER MAIDEN NAME WAS WRITTEN WITH HER MARRIED NAME ON MY MARRIAGE CERT. I SPENT 4 DAYS GOING BACK AND FORTH. I AM A TRINIDADIAN BY BIRTH BUT FOR THE FIRST TIME I FELT LIKE A WOMAN WITHOUT A COUNTRY THEY MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE YOU OUT OF PLACE THE NICEST PERSON WAS A FEMALE AT THE DESK. THE WOMAN THAT INTERVIEWED ME HAD NO PERSONALITY SHE WAS COLD AND UNFRIENDLY.THE TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO CONSULATE IN NY IS A POOR REPRESENTATION OF TRINIDAD.I WILL NOT GO BACK FOR MY PASSPORT I HAVE APPLIED FOR MY AMERICAN CITIZENSHIP.

Good Experience
After reading the reviews I honestly did not want to go to the Consulate. Tried calling Miami and no one answered. Called the Trinidad Consulate in NY and spoke to Micheal and was highly surprised. He directed me to the website and I was able to get all the information needed. Then when I went to the Consulate the following day I was greeted by polite and professional people all they way. Some of the argument was from people who did not have everything and still wanted service. I am sure the experience may have been great for all but is it the Consulate to blame for the long process or is it Trinidad. As someone said next to me 'if they close the Consulate in NY and they have to go Miami or Washington, then they would have something to complain about' and that kind of put things in perspective. Still kind of upset it will take 3 to 6 months but some reviews are just angry and ignorant

Embassy
Document EVERY phone call, or even write letters. It took me almost 9mths to get my passport frm them. That only happen when i started calling Trinidad and recording things down. Dnt give up people. I know the embassy in NY is THEEEEEE WORST. but keep trying.. it will pay off.

i will forever love trinindad and tobago people.
It is very important for our people to stand together and help one another with love and patients.Things are already hard for us in the United states...some of us would just like to go back home for a visit with the ones that loves them.. While otheres can only aford to make phone calls on phone cards that steal there time...please we dont have to make it hard for one another... forge from the love of liberty...and may god bless our nation

have patients,like everything else.
Please people,if you documents are faulty somewhere along the lines, you would have a problem some where or another. Now a lot of people came here, and misteriously lost your passport.Lie.now the poor people, bombarded with work to try to issue you all new passports, and you all are just downright impatient and enjoy the badtalk. Now wake up Stop the ignorance.Shot out to Jillian,on floor #3 The most helpful, patient and full of unformatiin.

Worst experience ever
As a Trinidadian I didn't feel that this office was here to help me at all! They seemed eager to shout out my private information and gave me the runaround seemingly on purpose! I've been in here 6 times and no one has helped me, my application is still not in for a passport. Worst experience and doesn't seem to have anyone who's really willing to help.

Very very rude and disrespectful
Staff with no respect for there own people.....
" the word of GOD says if my people will turn from there wicked ways, repent and seek
My face then I will hear them I will deliver them from the wicked rulers, the wicked leaders, the wicked unruly staff. He will put good compassionate God fearing leaders then the people will rejoice.

Wake up people!
