Inquiry about change of visa from ED to Non-B by a holder of Nigerian passport residing in Thailand.
I am a Nigerian who came to Thailand to study for both Bachelor and master's degree. I have just got a teaching job after a successful completion of both Bachelor in English and International Business and masters in Diplomacy and International Studies and would like to change my visa from ED visa to Non-B to enable me work legally in the Kingdom. I have all the paper work from my employer and my school. When I contacted the Thai consulate in Penang, I was told I cannot apply for visa there and was referred to the embassy rather.
But since then all efforts to contact the consular section via phone has been abortive as no one has received my calls - a complete frustration indeed!.
I wonder if I could get this done in the Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur as advised.
I really would be glad to hear from you to enable me make an informed decision on this issue.
Even a simple Yes/No answer would do rather than ignoring me.

very poor service
I went there today to pick up my non immigrant visa only to find they'd mistakenly given me a tourist visa, something I had no use for. I wasn't unique. At the time there were 4 other people with similar complaints. In addition, when I pointed out the mistake and showed where I had clearly marked non immigrant visa on the application, the man who appeared to be in charge became verbally abusive. This embassy is the most incompetent I've ever run across.
