community Based Education project
I am writing this letter on behalf of Bruhtesfa Memorial Charity organization which has been established on 14 October 2015 as a nonprofit organization in Ethiopia following to the untimely death of the late Dr. Engineer Bruhtesfa Ebrahim Godana. He was an ExxonMobil research award winner for his applied research in his Ph.D. desertion " Feedback and precoding techniques for MIMO wireless communications" in November 2014. According to the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), and his finding rated us top ten in the world.

He had already granted a position in Ericsson research department in competition with 80 other applicators with doctoral degrees. Unfortunately, he died only after 3 months of taking the award on March 23, 2015, at the age of 29 in Stockholm Sweden by an accident of drowning according to Swedish Karolinska hospital report. In addition, During his stay at Ericsson, he registered more than 10 patents in his name and with co-workers.

Since the Bruhtesfa memorial charity organization has been established on 14, October 2015, working on the accessibility of quality education in the rural setting of Ethiopia, to support disadvantaged school children who present in government schools. Our project targeted at the area of underprivileged groups, who confronted hard life at the child age in terms of accessing quality education due to several reasons.

Therefore, Bruhtesfa General Primary school is the first school for our community-based school project in Amhara region , it is hard to see any space designated as a reading space for students at this school ,5-6 students share a single textbook, no reference materials are available across all grades, there is no shade where students can support each other before or after school hours as well as during weekends, besides there is no opportunity to access e-learning system at all.

The other bigger problem which exists in the area is girls confront unfriendly and insecure learning environment including repeating a class, child marriage, school dropout, child labor, due to lack of community awareness about education, in particular, the importance of educating girls and other related factors.

Gender discrimination and bad traditional practice like female genital mutilations are also relevant risks of girls’ life in the area.

Students reside in a absolute poverty, poor school infrastructure and inadequately trained teachers are among the complications to school teaching and learning interactions in Bruhtesfa General Primary school.

The project is focused on the geographical area where the community lives with absolute poverty due to heavy drought which occurred regularly that caused for economic crises end up with low school attendance, school dropout, child marriage, child labor, child trafficking and soon. In addition, parents are unable to keep their children out of poverty due to income limitation.

Since our Community-based school project plan will alleviate their challenges by constructing library at this government running school and equipped with resources, relevant textbooks, references books, and ICT materials, along with providing training for teachers. And awareness creation for the local community starting from parents/guardians of school children focused on quality education, educating girls, bad traditional practice etc.

In addition, crafting income generating activities in the specific area, for vulnerable children who are highly treated for school dropout, child labor, child marriage, and child trafficking etc.The income generating activities will be operated by their poor parents/ guardians in particular women who live with HIV.

Generally, our mission is to create a conducive learning environment and to make disadvantaged children competent and higher achievers in particular in STEM who were underserved previously and make Doctor engineer Bruhtesfa's achievements their model of reference.

Dear Srs, as I said above despite we would have generic project proposal and accepted by the government, we are looking for at least some sort of support for implementation.

We would, therefore, highly appreciate your support in the effort of tackling the problems of the marginalized group by accepting unsolicited project proposal associated with education or considering us as one of your future project partners.

I look forward to hearing from you.
