My Ordeal At The Embassy
Dear Consulate General,

I am a prospective student to IE University. I can confidently tell you that I put in lots of efforts in meeting up with the requirements at the embassy in the last two months. However, till date I have not been able to submit my VISA documents as the lady official that always attend to me kept saying I am wasting my time and money. She had repeatedly told me to send a mail to cog.lagos.maec.es to confirm if I am suitable for a student visa as I intend to travel with my family for the ten month program. I really need a feedback as I have visited the embassy for more than five times in the last two weeks now without her attending to me.

I am so confused because I am not getting any way forward from her. The legalized document I have been asked to come for two weeks ago has not been given to me. My marriage certificate I came to legalize has always been faulted by her even after authenticating it at the registry. Albeit, I have refused to believe that she is taking my case so personal but my visit to the embassy yesterday really made me to conclude that there is more to the unfriendly attention I have been receiving till date.

I will very much appreciate it if the Consulate General can use her good offices to look into my plights.

The truth is I have paid my school fees which according to the school contract cannot be refunded. Secondly, I believe African women are been discriminated unjustly in Africa but I sincerely owe the Spanish government with high esteem as I believe she is a women friendly institution.

Hence, having children (in my case a boy and a girl) should not allow one to be deprived of further studies. I can go on and on talking on this issue. But I will appreciate if the Consulate grant me the opportunity to submit my documents and then using your fair judgement to look into whether I am qualified for a ten month VISA or not instead of the lady official that kept humiliating me each time I called at the embassy. I must confess I am fed up!
