We are British born but naturalised South African citizens. we have suffered a theft and our documents were stolen. How do we go about renewing them please as wE are considering returning to S A to live. My "Book of Life number was/is Brian John Deller, 380214 5081 (from memory.

My wife and I are both S A citizens but naturalized when we lived there We left due to the very high levels of violent crime and because our talented son who was close to attending university would find it very difficult to find a suitable job in S A because he was white.
To answer questions here as we went to S A for a month in Jan/Feb this year. On a British passport, you can enter visa free and stay for up to 3 months. The entry ·visa" is authorised at the S A entry airport.
We were considering returning to S A being in our senior years now (I am 79) But we are put off by the still high levels of crim, what with an unemployment rate of 30%. We found instances of white families whoe ault children are all working overseas due still to affirmative action, the destroyer of good economic success.Housing is plentiful and inexpensive compared with over-crowded Europe. The feelings between the various race groups was very good with most black people I chatted with being open criticising the current Govt bein described as corrupt and full of nepotism. Their words. At one hotel we stayed in. my wife gave a nice day dress to one of the waitresses, who using her smartphone, has kept in touch with my wife since. A delightful young woman living on the Natal South Coast. The hotels we stayed in (all 4 & 5 star) were excellent, easily to World standards. We would like to know if we can return to live our days out. Some South Africans living here in Southern Spain say they have been told they may not. What is the answer to that question please?
Is there an email address for the South African embassy in Spain that works? I have tried embassy@sudafrica.com and madrid.embassy@dirco.gov.za and neither seems to be working. They also don't seem to be answering their phones. How can I get in contact with them?
