There is two side of south Africa. One is very nice weather, natural beauty, business etc. And also European people want to settle in Cape Town because of weather and other side of south Africa is dark. You have to make sure where you are staying and in whole south Africa i would say Cape Town is the best place to stay. Its not like all over in south Africa is happening like that. There is always bad elements in the country. The biggest problem in south Africa is unemployment that's very high is the world about 34% of south African are unemployed.

I have checked internet link that you sent but still i do not think this is the reason embassy is more strict about visa for Pakistani. It can happen any part of the world. It happened also in Cape Town Pakistani two guys killed the south African person - also south African slaughter the Pakistani women and used the body parts for the medicine. It happened all over the world even in Pakistan.
This is real happen i confirm with mian nazeer nd mian amjad ( topa brother)

the one u telling abt cap town i know tht it happen with pakistanies the one was running backry business.
This is fresh incident 19 feb 2014 nd if u look at it since tht we r having trouble from embassy.
I know it look stupid if we attach tht incident to embassy but all knows embassy is giving hard time since tht time to all pakistanies.
But my duha is for all that u get visa nd must return to ur family in south africa .
