Attention:
For more accurate and expedient information contact the Embassy directly on the phone numbers listed above. However, do not call between 11:30 and 2:30pm, as they will most likely be on their lunch break. (They love their lunch)
If you live in Australia, your best option would be to visit them personally in Canberra. If not possible send them your details with any prescribed fee.
If you live in New South Wales, you may attend the office in Liverpool on 45-47 Scott Street for more direct and personal advice.
YOU CANNOT TRAVEL TO SAMOA ON A ONE-WAY FLIGHT. This has been the normal procedure for a very long time. You must travel with a return ticket to Samoa at all times, otherwise you will be refused travel at the departing airport.
However, the only way to travel on a One-Way ticket is to get an Exemption Visa Stamp on your passport from the embassy. The fee is approximately $50 AUD for the stamp, then you can freely travel indefinitely to Samoa for the duration of your passport expiry.
THIS PAGE IS NOT OPERATED NOR MONITORED BY ANY EMBASSY OR AMBASSADOR OR COMMISSIONER OF SAMOA, SO DO NOT EXPECT A REPLY. IN FACT YOU ARE WASTING YOUR TIME POSTING HERE.
If you want to do business in Samoa, it is best to go directly to Samoa to make arrangements with the departments there, as you will not likely have calls or emails answered or responded to. You are more likely to have a better picture of the demographics and the viability of establishing a business there, rather than asking questions on an unmonitored forum.
Why do you not pick up your phones?? whats the point of a website when you dont do your job??? useless and pointless i say!!!
Hi...reading ur website gives me the idea that its hopeless as most of the queries are not answered. Sad..communication breakdown...one of the main purpose the office was set up.
many contacts to govt departments to try and do business related matters about the contracts there in Samoa ( millions of dollars ) NOT ONE RELPY....l will no longer waste my time
Hi Angeline,
My mum left on the day before your mum left and she was able to get on the flight with a one way ticket. I've just paid for her return last week so im not sure why your mother wasnt allowed on the flight? I booked mine online directly through virgin samoa.. maybe its with airlines?
Can someone please tell me which country owns the policy that Samoan people that are Australian citizens can no longer travel to Samoa on a one way ticket? (and yes we have the exemption stamp in our passports). My mum left for Samoa on Saturday the 11/10/14 on Pacific Airways (Fiji airways) and when she went to check in she was told that she cannot board the plane without a return ticket? She ended up going to flight center to and paid $700 so she wouldn't miss her flight! When i called flight center they said it was Samoa's policy and has been that way for the past year??? Has anyone had this problem before???
