Thanks Tom. Its strange, I tried contacting their offices, direct via telephone, email etc. to no avail. Last I had heard that the Advocate was not keeping too well.

Expect the birth registration to be completed by twenty seven or eight. Until then I would suggest focus on your life and career. Passport will be done in the interim.

Sometimes we think of getting the passport and stating our lives abroad but the wait period for this is very long in reality and time is precious so utilise it well.

All the best !!!

Thank you for the information. I have a long wait then. You think in pandemic maybe few cases would have been submitted to CRC? So a possible speed up in the process factoring this period. It's too bad it's taking that long.

Before pandemic it would take two to two and a half years to complete. During pandemic period it became three to three and half years and Post pandemic things have become very slow and currently taking four to four and half years.

If things improve then registrations will come out sooner. But it doesn't look like things will improve.

Even for post sixty one formally it used to get done within a years time. Now it takes anywhere from one and half to two and a half years to get done. For bmc cases the time is longer.

Why is it taking so long? Do you think things may change & we can have hope for registrations sooner

CRC is analysing cases submitted in August twenty nineteen for pre sixty one.

It is currently taking more than four and half years which may eventually extend to five or six years by the time your case actually comes up, if things continue at this rate.
