quoting your earlier message - And very important, its always best to start your process ònly after you have all your documents, correct document's in front of you.

This is the only advice and the best advice for everybody here doing their nationality process.

Victoria, if you lawyer asked you to correct your mom's name in her passport as per her teor,
A) you will have to correct her aadhar, her marriage cert so it tally's with her passport and teor.
B) after your mom's name is corrected as per lawyer then her name in your birtg, marriage, passport also has to be changed
Or your mom's registration will be done
But your process will get stuck as your doc's would have a different mom's name compared to her doc's, pls understand this.

Victoria, I cannot comment on your Lawyer but it is very important for you to take second and third opinion.

Also you need to understand, you cannot have two different names of a living person.

Please go thru my message and understand step by step and note down your changes to be done.

And don't loose hope till the last day of your search for any documents.

And very important, its always best to start your process ònly after you have all your documents, correct document's in front of you.

Your Lawyer will not be able to help you at a later stage if you cannot correct your second or third generation doc's.

So it is your responsibility and it's no big deal to do this.
Just go ahead and find all doc's, correct them.

Thanks. I was informed my one lawyer that only passport of my mothers would have to be changed and then my birth certificate. Don't know if he did not give me all the information.

I am trying to find out my fathers details so maybe i won't have to make many big changes in the names then. But its taking too long to find. Don't know if its worth the wait finding my dads documents.
