Hi, I have a Syrian fiance and he is in Turkey. We are both Muslims. I'm in UAE we are planning to get married in Turkey. What documents we need?and how long it will take for us to process the document? thank you.
For your question May-ann,
If you plan to apply for marriage in Philippines, your fiance should get a certification of no marriage (proof that he is single) from their registry office. Then dadalhin nyo yun sa Turkish embassy sa Manila (Dasmarinas Village) kung saan i-authenticate naman ito ng Embahada nila.
Now, for our phil. Marriage registration, you need CeNoMar from NSO for both of you. Madali lang mag-request nito from NSO, pwede online. Yung turkish fiance mo, ire-request mo din ng CENOMAR from NSO. Doesnt make sense kasi di naman sya pinoy di ba? But then yun ang requirement ng civil registrars natin jan sa Pinas. After getting those documents, bring the ff to the rwgistrars office you are applying:
1. Your fiance's passport
2. The certification of no marriage/legal capacity to contract marriage - from the embassy of turkey in Manila
3. Your fiance's birth certificate (internationally recognized with translation)
4. Your CENOMAR's (both of you)
5. Your cedula (community tax)
6. Your birth certificate
7. Any supporting ID's
Note: there may be other documents that the registrar will require you, but those i mentioned above are the official requirements.
Good luck!

Hello to all. I'm a Filipina and my fiance is Turkish and we are planning to get married here in the Philippines. I've done a little bit of research about getting married as well as the requirements needed. Since my fiance is currently in his home country for a 4-month holiday, I told him to procure his CENOMAR from Turkey before he proceed to Philippines. When he got to the said office, he was advised to go to the Philippine Consul first. I need your advice about the requirements needed for marriage here in the Philippines to a foreign national. Thanks a bunch...
