Comments on this High Commission
I was at the High Commission at Ottawa for my passport last week, and got the greatest surprise. My Passport was issued under 2 hours by the new immigration Officers - Helen and Tony.
I was told by a friend of mine who had gone there before me, but i thought it was a lie, until i experienced it myself.
All Nigerians in Canada should thank the Immigration Boss for sending us these officers, because we can see the change ourselves. I equally want to thank Helen for all the efforts and energy she exerts to make sure we all get our passports the same day.
Keep it up, and may God continue to strengthen both of you - Helen and Tony.
WELLDONE !
The testimony is a good news indeed
It is really sad that this office is bringing the same ideas that set Nigeria back 20 years back into Canada. Nigeria embassy is the only embassy in the world that one will call and no staff will answer. It is the only embassy that sell her passport outside the embassy for 400 percent increase of what the price is.
When do you people start to do things the normal way?
It is sad, really sad.
I can't believe the change just two people can make to a big building like our High Commission in Ottawa.Glory be to GOD for the coming of the Immigration Officers - Mrs Helen and Mr Tony. I was at the High Commission for my passport last week and was surprised at the change. The Immigration Officers have not only given us peace but hope and have shown dignity in hard work.
I commended Mrs Helen for her energy at work.
I got my passport the same day, which was unheard of before in that office. It will be very good if the other officers emulate this two to move the High Commission forward.
Thank you Helen and Tony, all Nigerians in Canada will be praying for you,we are proud of you gyes.
am amazed at the out pouring of your sincere sentiments on the small efforts of me and my senior colleague, aunty helen. am sure she too wil be humbled by the contents of this page, on behalf of herself and my poor self and indeed on behalf of the high commission as wellas the comptroller general of africas biggest immigration service, lady rose uzoma, i wish to say thank you all formaking our dream cometrue!
My passport has expired and I need to get urgently. Do I have to go to Ottawa to get a new one
I am still marvelled that I came to the embassy and got my passport within 3 hours from time of arrival. This is indeed the best that ever came out of this embassy. My greatest appreciation to the new immigration officers (Helen + Tony). You are indeed the wave of change that we have been waiting for in this country. Please keep it up !!
My thanks and appreciation goes to the new immigration officers, Helen and Tony, for all the help and new life they have given to our need for Nigerian passports. I came to Ottawa and went back with my passport. First in history. Thank you. There is hope for Naija. Keep it up.
I came from Montreal to Ottawa to see if I could get my passport. I had applied long time but did not get anything. Nobody in Ottawa could help me. My association in Montreal helped me as they can. The Immigration Canada needed my passport to give me my landed. I came there and those new Immigration officers, Helen and Tony, gave me my passport the same day. I left for Montreal with my passport. I could not believe this was possible. So you can get a passport from the embassy. Thank you to these new people.
I was at the High Commission last week for something I never thought was possible - Obtaining a Nigerian Passport. One Madam Helene was amazing. I never thought that one could come to the High Commission and go back with a passport. She made it a seamless hassle free experience for me. The High Commission is a place we all dread going to. You can get someone on the phone. When you do get some one, she would be very hostile. I was told there is a new Immigration Dept. These are different Nigerians. Thank you. I can look forward to getting my Canadian Landed paper. Thank you.
