Hi, I'm student in Holland and I'm in Italy for a conferece. My residence permit was stolen and I will be back to Holland in a few days and also I don't have time because I have a lecture.what should I do now?

I am working as a researcher in Italy. I have an expired stay of permit and the receipt for renewing the stay of permit. But the processing time for renewing the stay of permit is more than 6 months. Can I visit Netherlands, before getting the new stay of permit? or can I apply for a tourist visa?

Please l live in italy with a refugess status document, am married to a dutch citizen, l want to join my wife in Holland, do l require to write a language exam
