Stop the Massacre of Cape Fur Seals
I am shocked that the Namibian government continues to promote the barbaric, senseless slaughter of Cape fur seal pups and bulls. The pups are so young that they are still nursing. I have seen sickening video footage of this horrifying massacre on YouTube and have forwarded this information to everyone I know. Namibia's reckless over-fishing has caused many seals to die of starvation, and the seal population is in jeopardy. The massacre of the surviving seals is appalling. South Africa stopped killing seals years ago. Why does Namibia remain in the Dark Ages? You have an obligation to protect the Cape fur seals. I urge you to stop this insane slaughter at once.
I will not travel to Namibia nor will I purchase Namibian products until the killing of Cape fur seals is banned forever, and I will tell all my friends and family to do the same.
Please convey this message to your government in Namibia. Thank you.
