lost fm2
I have had an fm3 for 5-6 years.This year in feb I
instead got a fm2.
In april of this year I returned to toronto to visit family and do my income tax.
At the airport in mexico city, after passing immigration and getting my exit and return papers,I lost my fm2 card!!!I returned to the desk and informed the immigration officer of my loss. The officer told me that when I return, go to the office near my home and get a replacement
On my return to mexico, immigration in mexico city requested my card!! the entry half of my exit paper was not enough!! when i explained the loss thet made me fill out a tourist visa to enter the country!!
When i went to the immigration office near my home they informed me my status of permanent residence was no longer valid and that i could not get a replacement card!!i was informed that i entered the country as a tourist!!! that i would have to return to canada,go to a consulate and reapply for my fm2!!!!
i find this difficult to understand!! i have been and still am in the system!!!
when i returned to mexico
