Phones
Don't expect anyone to answer the phones or answer emails. We had to drive into Seattle to get them to help us. Once we got there, we were taken care of very well. It's seriously frustrating when you need answers to questions BEFORE you get there!

robbed by the Federal Police in the state of Queratero
Is it business as usual for the Mexican Federal Police to rob and and threaten american citizens just because they are driving cars with U.S. plates? I was told that there was a law that an american plated car could not drive in Queratero between the hours of 5am 11a.m. this was at a toll booth and the fine was $7500. or he would impound my pick up truck, yet i saw many passenger cars traveling threw the toll station. I have just purchased land in the state of Vera Cruz and I will be traveling this route frequently. I wish to operate with in the laws of Mexico and if I did violate a law why was I not told of this law when I entered at the Immigration office at Piedala Negrace port? With respect please help me. Thank You

Efficient, professional, friendly service
I was in the consulate in April 2014 to apply for a visa. I am so impressed by the service I received. Great customer service is hard to find these days but the wonderful staff provides exactly that. Not only were they efficient and professional, they were very friendly and gracious. Mr Diaz was so helpful and was able to have our visas ready that same day. Thank you Mr Diaz and your wonderful staff as well.
I hope to see you again, maybe in Mexico!

DISCRIMINATION AGAINST its own people
I went to request a Mexican passport and I am a US citizen. The man there refused to issue an illiterate woman her passport because SHE DID NOT KNOW HOW TO READ OR WRITE. What a shame to go to this types of Mexican places.
