In the new visa requirements for temporary or permanent status, it refers to proof of common law status. What documents are acceptable as this proof?

We are looking to retire in Mexico and wish to have more information on the MP3 Form - I understand this is the form that is required to apply for Mexican citizenship, is this correct? We were planning a vacation to Cancun from Edmonton with our daughter and niece. Mexico expects letters from both my nieces mom and dad, in English AND Spanish, all sent to a desk in Calgary to collect a fee and sent back...
