how to renew my Maltese passport and also change of surname by depol
hi I am a Maltese citizen and i have been living in the UK for 9 yrs.My question is, how can i renew my Maltese passport as it has expired, here in the UK and will I have to travel down to London to renew it or can i do it by post. Also, what documents will i need to bring and how much are the fees for it? Also I am planning on changing my surname by depol here in the UK, as my current surname is my ex husband's name, we are not divorced just separated as he had abandoned me 7 years ago, i am in the process of saving up the money for a divorce. But i'd like to change my surname by depol, firstly will the maltese passport office except my surname name change if i show proof and the offictial documentations of my name change when i apply for my new Maltese Passport. Or does Malta not except this . I was adviced to check this out before going ahead with my name change. Thank you in advance for your help and i hope i have explained it clear enough. Thanking you in Advance

How to renew Maltese Passport (Answer)
Hello just want to answer question how to renew Maltese passport who are us Maltese live in the UK. In 2009 I manage to renew my Maltese passport in Malta High Commission via by post to Passport Office in Malta before the law changed.

Now you have to renew your Maltese Passports in Malta I suggest is go and renew your Maltese Passport before it expires or if you have a Maltese ID Card if your passport expires, go and travel to Malta with Maltese ID Card within the EU.

You can still phone Malta High Commission in London for a renew passport application form by post if us Maltese live in the UK. The fee to pay for renew or first time passport only in Euros at Passport Office in Valletta.

Thank you.

appointment on 25/26 July 2013 regarding my citizenship and passport
I live in Johannesburg, South Africa and will be in London on Thurs 25 and Fri 26 of July and would like to ask for an appointment to complete my application, with your help.

To recap:
I was born in Malta on 29 October 1967 of British parents
My birth name is Jessica Tonina Rees-Jones
I have paperwork of my fathers and grandfathers birth certificates, my grandfathers and parents marriage certificates. allUK GRO certified copies generated by them.

If I do qualify then may I meet on the dates as per above to process the paperwork. If so , is there anything else that I need to produce – papers, photo’s etc.

May I also apply for a passport at the same time if we have cleared the citizenship issue and I am eligible.

I look forward to your soonest response

Kind regards

How to renew my passport
Hi, my Maltese passport expired last year and I am now living in the uk.
How can I renew my passport please?
Not sure if Mr Alfred Cassar is still with you but I remember he was so very helpful helping me on the phone in obtaining my last passport. But I have heard that you cannot renew your passport through the London high commission any longer.

Kind regards,

Stephanie Mason.

A personal account of an A.A. gunner in Malta 2nd World War.
My wife and I are going on holiday to Valleta 21st May.
Julias father Albert Witcomb A.A. Regt.R.A.Malta.Left UK 24 July 1940 diary ends 8th of April 1942.It contains a vivid description of life and death during his duration there.
We wondered if it would be of any interest to any Historians in Malta during our stay there.
