Im a south african citizen married to a mosotho citizen and she got SA permanent citizen and she cant apply for SA passport at home affairs in rusternburg,they are referring us to Lesotho embassy to apply

My great grandmother was from Lesotho and my grandmother was born in Petrusburg farm in Free state. My grand mother therefore moved to northen cape many years back with out any birth certificate or ID.
She is 79Years and doesn't have an ID and everytime we go to home affairs we told she must go back to Lesotho. Is there a way you can help her to get a South African ID because she was born in SA not Lesotho.

Greetings I'm working for Impendle local municipality in KZN South Africa.Impendle is situated next to Sani Pass border. Hear we have lots of children who cant access birth certificates and other benefits they should be enjoying because mothers are from Lesotho with no documents themselves. If the Embassy can assist to us to help mothers to get the their documents so the children will enjoy their benefits hear in SA.
