Request to Support Holy Eid-Ul Fitre and Qurbani Meat for the Poor Muslims of Bangladesh to Observe Holy Eid-Ul-Azha.
Janab, Assalamu Alaikum,
This is for your kind information that the poor Muslims of Bangladesh observe Holy Eid-Ul Fitre and holy Eid-Ul Azha, the biggest Muslim Religious Festivals but the poor Muslims cannot observe the festivals with others due to high poverty. We are pleased to know that your organization’s philanthropy activities and benevolent support for the poor Muslims especially during the Eid-Ul-Azha for enabling the poor Muslim family to enjoy the holy festival with Qurbani Meat is extremely appreciating. We cordially hope that you would help and support clothes, foods, and meats for Eid-Ul Fitre and Eid-Ul Azha observation to the poor Muslims to observe the Holy Eid-Ul Fitre and Holy Eid-Ul-Azha and sharing happiness with other Muslims. As we know that the core value of the Eid-Ul-Azha is how best we can contribute and it also creates an opportunity for the capable Muslims to maximize the sacrifice and create best scope to share happiness with the poor Muslims living in poor countries. In rural area of Bangladesh, it was a time when all Muslims could help and had capacity to share Qurbani Meat with each other, felt happy to sacrifice and thus observed Holy Eid-Ul-Azha. Over the period of time the economic condition of the rural Bangladesh became worst and livelihood for the rural poor people is difficult.
Moreover, now a days, due to high price of the cattle’s and other commodities the poor Muslim people cannot help each other’s during the Eid festival. The ground reality is, due to limited resources in the rural areas resulted thousands of poor Muslims family cannot enjoy Holy Eid-Ul Fitre and Eid-Ul-Azha. This is a big misfortune for us as Muslim though it our code of ethics to share the happiness and sacrifice for those misfortune poor rural Muslims and also our duty to share the happiness of Holy Eid equally. During the Holy Eid-Ul-Azha it has the best opportunity to sacrifice the abilities and option to be more empathy because there are thousands of poor Muslims, who cannot afford the meat even once in a year so that your support may allow them to have at least one time in a year to get meat for their happy celebrating of the Holy Eid-Ul-Azha. The Holy Eid-Ul Fitre and Holy Eid-Ul-Azha has been created for the same ethics, because, there are many poor Muslims, who cannot afford for clothes, shoes, foods, etc. and meat whole the year, by which they can eat foods, wear clothes, shoes, etc. and eat meat at least one time during the Holy Eid-Ul Fitre and Holy Eid-Ul-Azha.
EJAG has been supporting the poor Muslims by sharing clothes, shoes, foods during the holy Eid-Ul-Fitre the Qurbani Meat during the Holy Eid-Ul-Azha but the numbers are high than that of ability and not in a position to cover the minimum need of the beneficiaries of our programme area. Last year, during the holy Eid-Ul-Fitre and Eid-Ul-Azha, EJAG from their own resources supported 100 poor Muslim community with food, cloths and cow meats to share happiness and was possible to manage only 2 cows. Our organisation also covered 80 poor Muslims in 2014 and managed 15 cows. Despites, our ability and having limited resources, there are huge pressure and demand from the community of our working area to covered same level of support as we did in 2013 and 2014.
Under these circumstances, on behalf of those community rural poor Muslims we are requesting and soliciting your kind support so that we can at least cover those 1000 number of beneficiaries to share the happiness and enjoyment during the upcoming holy Eid-Ul-Fitre and Eid-Ul-Azha in 2016. Though the requirements and demand of Qurbani Meat is pretty high in number and considering the assessment we are expecting to manage 20 cows by which would be managed the minimum 1000 number of families. However, we are putting our heartfelt submission and hope that with your kind support it would be possible to create a really Holly Eid atmosphere in those community.
Let us introduce and brief of our organisaiton, since 2006, the EJAG has been working in 13 Upazillas under 3 Districts covering 4,50,000 beneficiaries in Bangladesh. The very primary target groups and/ or beneficiaries are hardcore poor, street children, landless, disabled persons, widow, Orphan and age old have less people. etc. EJAG has been trying its best to support those beneficiaries to improve their livelihood and socio economic condition by enhance their capacity, enhance skills, provide support to be self-reliant and self-sufficient. We can assure you that your kind support including your all sorts of cooperation and guidance will certainly improve quality of lives of those hardcore poor in rural Bangladesh.
You are aware that in Bangladesh, about 91% people are Muslims and among them about 55% people are poor and landless, 30% people are have less who are living in sufferings and in inhuman conditions and subjected to be neglected, exploited, deprived and discriminated in many forms. As EJAG has a vision and mission to contribute its best efforts to eliminate the poverty and sufferings.
We request you for 1000 pieces of shirts, 1000 pieces of Lungi, food support for 1000 people for Eid-Ul Fitre and 50 cows for Qurbani Meat support for the poor Muslims of Faridpur District in Bangladesh. Please extend your kind helping hands and cooperation and help us to help the poor Muslims to observe the Holy Eid-Ul Fitre and Holy Eid-Ul-Azha. Detailed budget is enclosed.
Looking forward to hear from you back.
Kind regards,
Yours faithfully,

(Ms. Nazma Akter)
