My husband needs a urgent appointment to renew passport, brother lying in a Italian Hospital seriously ill. We have phoned over and over but no answer, we have emailed but they are all the wrong email address for some reason. We are desperate to sort this out before it's too late. Sono disperata!
Vivo a leeds e il mio passaporto e' scaduto. Devo rientrare in Italia in settembre e non riesco a capire cosa devo fare per rinnovare passaporto.
Il numero di tel a manchester non esiste. Il numero di tel di Londra e' sempre occupato. E' due mesi che telefono e mando emails...ma niente!!!

After an appointment, I was in Manchester ,paid was required and done all formalities for the renewal of my passport.This was on 1st December 2017. I was told that I would receive my new passport within two months. Seven months have passed and no passport. Impossible to speak to anybody anywhere. No reply even to registered letter sent to the Consulate. The Italian have been abandoned by the state and nobody seems to care !! A desperate Italian in England.
I saw the messages on this page and thought it would be helpful to share some information.
The Consulate in Rodwell Tower, closed some time ago.
Some consular services were moved to the Dale Street address, which again closed down.
When my mum needed a passport renewal in 2015, we had to go to Liverpool, because there was no service in Manchester.
An office opened on Booth Street, Manchester, but again in March of 2018, it closed.
My understanding is that now you have to apply to the Italian Embassy in London. :-(
Pls I want to renew my children passport and I live in Manchester, pls can I renew it in Italian embassy Manchester
