My son is in Switzerland for a 10-week Architecture program thru CalPoly in the U.S. It is followed by a 16-week program in Italy. How can he obtain a student visa for the second program as it goes beyond 90 days? Can he take all of his documents to the Italian Consulate in Geneva or Lugano, Bern or Zurich? Any help appreciated!
My daughter has been accepted to a college in Rome, which begins in late August this year. We are americans living in Zurich. If I fill out the application from the Italian Embassy of Geneva website and bring the documents asked for on the application, do I just bring it all to the embassy to submit it? Do I need an appointment? How long does it take to process? Do they mail it to me? Must my daughter be present? Is it true that this cannot be done at the Italian embassy office in Zurich?
