I just cannot get hold of a PERSON to speak to. Why is it so difficult. I really thought the Irish Embassy would be different to the usual inefficiency of SA. Not so. It is incredible frustrating.
I wonder if you could advise me re renewing my Irish passport. Who do i contact to get the application forms and please advise about other requirements.

I have been married to an Irish national since December 2003. A few years ago enquiries for me to apply for an Irish passport were turned down. It was said the rules had changed and we were a few years too late. The sad end of Graeme Smith (former SA cricket captain)marriage has raised a query. He was married to an Irish national in 2011 here in SA and not resided in Ireland for any length of time. He was granted an Irish passport last year (so news reports say).If this is the case can it please be explained considering our request was turned down
Hi - my Irish passport expires soon and I would like to renew it. I wondered how I went about doing so - hence do I make an appointment, what photographs are required, what documents do I need to fill in and what supporting documents are required.
I would appreciate assistance in this matter.
