Comments on this High Commission
The reason why your friend was arrested by the immigration officers in Putrajaya is because he has breached and broken the law. We don't have any authority to assist any citizen that has broken the law We are subjected to Malaysian law not Indian law.
We advise our citizens to abide the law and remain legal at all times and respect Malaysian Immigration Law.
Stop giving out wrong information as you are NOT from the authority.
To Indian Citizens,
If you have overstayed, you will be subjected penalty from Immigration. If you have overstayed or has expired work permit, please refer yourself to the nearest Immigration office.
Immigration would decide the next course of action including hefty penalty, arrest, jail terms even caning. FINAL decision comes from Malaysian Immigration NOT Embassy.
We advise our citizens to abide the law and remain legal at all times and respect Malaysian Immigration Law.
