The basic salary is specified in the Offer Letter and is payable in United States Dollars (USD)

THE MEDICAL AND SOCIAL SYSTEN
The Transocean Sedco Forex has an excellent and comprehensive social scheme.

All staff members are required to subscribe to the Medical and Social system of the
Transocean Sedco Forex Management. Contributions are deducted automatically from
monthly emoluments at the rate of 0.2 percent of basic salary for health care. Compulsory
death and invalidity insurance contributions are deducted at the rate of 0.55 percent of
TRAVEL AND REMOVABLE EXPENSES
The travel expenses of a staff member related to taking up duty at the Transocean base – Headquarters and on termination of appointment are reimbursable. Under certain
conditions the staff member family travel expenses may be reimbursed. (You will be
informed in your offer which member of your family qualified for travel reimbursement). On
the same occasion and under certain conditions, the cost of removal of furniture and other
personal effects is paid by the Transocean Management.
Employer for each intercontinental trip shall pay $100.00 flat rate travel/entertainment
allowance, to employee.
CURRENCY TRANSFER
Staff members receiving an expatriate allowance may transfer through the Transocean
Management up to 50 percent of their total emoluments to the country of which they are
nationals or to their country of residence at the time of appointment.
FOREIGN EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION AND LABOUR MARKET OPINION
The Csic Immigration Consultant is Responsible for the Filling of Application to Human
Resources and Skills Development and Service Ghana for the Issuance of a Foreign
Employment Authorization and an Authorized Labour Market Opinion Confirmation.
During the Filling of your Application to the Human Resource and Skill Development and
Service if you meet up with your criteria we will issue you an employment contract that you
and the management of Transocean must sign.
OVERSEA APPLICANTS VISA AND WORKING PERMIT
The Transocean Management is working directly with the Immigration Consultant for the
processing of Applicants Visa and Working permits.
Transocean will not be responsible for an first Applicants, Transocean Management will only
assist Applicants who have already obtained Visa Clearance from the Immigration
You are expected to contact the Approved consultant for the smooth Assessments and
processing of your Visa and Working Permit.
Transocean will be Responsible for the successful applicants Flights Down to Ghana after
you have resume duty for the first time.
