we need to improve the system
As a Guyanese I am distraught to share my consistently horrible experience at the Guyana consulate in New York. The attitude of most the staff is disgraceful and distasteful, the most unprofessional, rude and inhospitable place of business I have been to in Manhattan. Its seems as though no one is there to help and the people reluctantly serve you. I suggest that they train their staff in the customer service field and get rid of those who aren’t up to the task of delivering friendly professional service.
Come on guys this is the 21st century, get out of the mentality that keeps our people down.

worst service
These people are beyond rude. Im a college student that will ask questions to obtain the information I need and i do it very respectfully. Clearly the staff needs further training and they also need a few classes in communication so they can give better service .. well they picked the wrong person to get an attitude with because they got what the were looking for I cursed the he'll out of them. And next time they want to have attitudes I will call the cops.

Staff & attitide
It has been too long now that the Guyana Gov't has been hind sighted on what is taking place at the Consulate in NY.

politics
The guyana people needs a drastic and desperate push for inclusion of all people at the parliamentary level in decision making. They are still stuck in the same old, same old politics which is still denying the average guyanese of income opportunities and equality. Guyana still holds a tremendous economic advantage over many of her counterparts in the world but her sons and daughters, for decades, have been denying their very people their inherent right to enjoy the land of their birth unfettered.

civility
The GT staff at the GT consulate in NYC needs to be civilized in their behavior and adopt refinement of approach to all peoples regardless of their nationalities. Learn UP not DOWN, u r in the greatest nation upon earth and exposed to a lot of refined behavior so please absorb.

The Guyana passport office have moved across the street. they are now on the groind floor of the building.and they did not update their website as usual!. The staff is as rude as they can possibly be, I guess someone needs to inform them that they are in New York we treat people with respect here . I wonder do anyone in authoeity. read our posts?
