Madam,
If you prove that your father or mother was french at the time of your birth in 1964, you will be eligible to apply for cert. of fr. nationality. For this you have to study the effects of the franco indian treaty of cession, 1956 on your parents. If you are really interested, you can get the assistance of a french advocate in Paris, Yours sincerely,
Rajalakshmi

French Nationality
Hello Sir,

I was born on 27th Feb 1964 in Pondicherry. My mother and my maternal grandmother both were born in Pondicherry during the year 1929 and 1908 respectively. We all three were having our birth's registered in Pondicherry and having both French and English birth certificates. Am i eligible to apply for French nationality? Both my mother and grandmother deceased and their deaths as well registered in Pondicherry.

Do any other certificates require for applying French nationality?

Is it possible to apply for French nationality with the available information?

Regards - Rajalakshmi

Sir,
You were born in Ponidcherry in August 1961. You are governed by the franco indian treaty of cession, 1962. According to this treaty, your father, if he was a french citizen born also in Pondicherry, had to give in writing a declaration of option in CGF, Pondicherry, by including your name. Otherwise, he will lose his french nationality and become Indian from 16.08.1962 and you will follow his condition, For further details, you cam comtact me in my office. My Cell No. 9843648646. Yours sincerely

We are now in a welfare State. The Government of India is now giving fatherly treatment to the people. So your father or his brother need not suffer and can get old age pension form the Government. They can also sue their neglecting sons for maintenance allowance before a court of law. Your information is insufficient, Please consult me in my office (opp. to Dr, Nallam clinic). No consultation fee. Yours sincerely
