Comments on this Consulate-General
Some time ago, I forwarded a copy of my honorable discharge and other information concerning my service as an infantry rifleman in France during World War II. I arrived in France in early September as a member of the 94th Infantry Division and was deployed around St.Nazaire until the end of 1944 when I was transferred to the area between the Saar and Moselle Rivers. I earned three battle stars and a bronze star.
I assume I am eligible to receive the Legion of Honor for my service in France during the war.
Sincerely,
Clyde Lee Estes
I would like information on on how to recommend a U.S. soldier for this award. I have documentation of his service in france during WWII. He was awarded the silver star and the purple heart. Do I need an application or forms to add to the documentation. Thanks for your time.
