REASONS FOR MA SCHOLARSHIP
I am applying for the Danish scholarships
scholarships
Program Scholarship. Presently, I am a bachelor of arts in economics. I believe my chosen profession will enable me to fulfill all of my desires to help others, to continuously expand my knowledge base and skills and to travel the world. Throughout my life I have participated in extracurricular activities including valuable volunteer experiences. I have striven for academic excellence, always wishing to make the most of my education. In addition, I have managed to work to provide for some of the basic expenses that students have.
Education has always been an important aspect of my life. While I am in university I managed to take challenging courses such as development economics, international, econometrics, calculus for economists, monetary economics, agricultural economics and other additional courses from other department. I was able to maintain a 3.97 GPA, allowing me to graduate as salutatorian. With this background I plan to work with research based groups in Economics as well as in local universities with an aim to improve research and development capacity building through training.
To fulfil my wish I have limited financial resources, I have not been able to proceed with master studies here in Ethiopia or elsewhere as I lack the necessary funds. I would be grateful to be provided with sponsorship to further my education and build a career and your scholarship will be immensely helpful. My future potential employer especially in the public sector such as local universities, economic policy makers and research organisations will be a good channel where I can transfer the knowledge gained in an optimized manner to my country and future generations.
In addition I will get a chance through to interact with students from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds drawn from all over the world. The exposure is important for interaction and integration of diverse ideas and perspectives pertaining to various global issues; for the world is a mosaic of different cultures and a single perspective cannot apply in all these cultures.
I am determined to make the most out of the scholarship benefits. I will optimize my stay at your institute to garner a wealth of ideas that will apply when I return to my country and at the same time contribute to
better Danish Scholarships
with my country Ethiopia.
Finally, My goal is to become a registered economists so that I can perform task that will based on research that helps to solve the economic problem of my country and the world. I have had an extraordinary number of economics instructors who were absolutely wonderful and would one day like to give back what they have given to me by becoming an instructor. I know that one day I will provide something meaningful to the individuals that I encounter.
Once again I am grateful for considering my application and I look forward to a positive reply.
