Visitor from Sri Lanka
Dear Consulate - My friends are planning to tour Costa Rica for about two weeks in July 2014. They are Sri Lankan citizens However they both have valid multiple entry visas to the US (visa category B1/B2) until years 2015 and 2016. I understand that if this is the case they don't need to obtain visas to enter Costa Rica (Please note that there is no Costa Rican embassy in Sri Lanka). Please let me know if they can travel w/ above visas - if not, what they must do. Thank you very much - looking forward to an early response.

notorized parental permission
I am a Spanish teacher from Saugerties, NY, taking a group of students to Costa Rica this coming April. In the past it was required to have a notorized parental permission from both parents. I was told by my travel agency that it is not requiered anymore. Could you please verify this?

Than you,

Ana Gatta

NEED A TOURIST VISA FOR MY FIANCEE
HELLO,
MY FAMILY HERE IS PLANNING A FAMILY REUNION IN JULY, AND I WANT TO BRING MY FIANCEE FROM COSTA RICA TO ATTEND. I WAS TOLD A FIANCE VISA TAKES ABOUT 6-8 MONTHS, IS IT BETTER FOR ME TO APPY FOR A TOURIST VISA FOR HER? ALSO, HOW DIFFICULT IS IT TO APPLY AND GET APPROVED FOR A TOURIST VISA. OR, WILL THE FIANCE VISA BE THE BETTER OPTION?

Who do I contact about dishonest Car rental agency in San Jose
We recently traveled in your country and rented a car in San Jose from Economy Rent a car. We were told the government controls all insurance rates and our rental cost 62.00 dollars a day, however our insurance was 75.00 per day. Upon returning home we have now found they are charging us even more than what our contract is. We also found out that basic coverage is only 20 a day but was told it was much higher so we would buy full coverage instead. We love your country and most of your people, however being from the US we need help resolving this matter. No honest person likes dealing with crooks, and I am sure you are not proud of yours like I am not proud of the ones in the States. Please let me know whom to contact for help on this matter.
