On the Canadian immigration side they let you know what application date they are working on, do they have the same system in Jamaica side where they can tell you what application date they are working on if not then they should get one like how Canada has one if will ease everyone minds because they can check the status that way and see how fast they are processing application
Need information on documents needed to obtain temporary work permit to Canada.

if you have applied from within Canada for pr for your spouse who is also in canada with you- how long does the processing take in jamaica. our first part is complete within canada just waiting on the jamaican end so we can travel to jamaica to see my spouses' family in which this will be the third christmas without:(
