Dear Consulate,

I am a Nigerian citizen presently studying in Malaysia. I've visited few countries in Asia and would love to witness the beauty of Brunei.

Kindly tell me the visa requirements to Brunei for Nigerian tourists studying in Malaysia. I'm currently holding student pass with more than 8months valid visa.

Thank you so much.

Raymond.

WRONGFUL DEPORTATION FROM BRUNEI IN AUGUST 2011
Dear Sir /Madam,

WRONGFUL DEPORTATION FROM BRUNEI IN AUGUST 2011.

Reference to my meeting with the consular at the embassy about a month ago on the subject matter, I write to plead with the Ambassador of Brunei to Malaysia to use his/her good offices to help inform the immigration/Ministry of Home Affairs and Foreign of Brunei to remove my name and particulars from the immigration records with immediate effect for wrongful deportation with the intension of damaging my hard won reputation and for tempting to criminalise me in the international travel domain as a businessman.

This request is very eminent after one full month of consultation with my lawyers, my family, friends and all well wishers including the immigration of Malaysia, the Management of Air Asia and the Malaysian Police to whom a police was made to for wrongful deportation in August 2010 upon realising that I was wrongfully deported by the Brunei immigration and also base on the Malaysian Police and immigration alert of the effects and the future consequences on me.

It could be recalled that in the month of August 2010, I was travelling to Singapore for a business negotiation through Brunei and wanted to have a short discussion with one of our clients in Brunei. I therefore made an enquiry to your embassy in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia who told me that I could transit in Brunei with visa on arrival for a maximum of 72hours in Brunei and since I needed only 24hours I obliged to their advice and embark on my Business trip to Singapore through Brunei. Little did I know that the immigration of Brunei was in to tarnish my reputation as an international businessman under the pretext which is only known to them till today and because of that they did not write to me to justify the reason of my deportation let alone making it known to anyone except the Malaysian immigration.

The effect of their act was that, I applied to travel to the UK on the 16th of June 2011 and a question on the application form implicated me as it asked if I have ever been deported before and I replied yes so they demand the evidence to know what happened but I was not able to produce such an evidence to them and eventually I was denied the visa to enter the UK for my business and this confirms the criminalisation of the Brunei immigration on me and the final effect was me losing the business I was going for.

Therefore with this latest development coupled with what happened last August that made me to lose the business deal in Singapore, my travel ticket to Singapore and hotel accommodation which was pre-booked and other costs involved because of the deportation and detention for 26hours in the Brunei Airport in the cold environment, I’m demanding an unqualified apologies from the immigration of Brunei within 14days from today and a refund of all my losses including a compensation for the trauma that I went through during the 26hours wrongful detention at the Brunei airport.

But should any or all of these requests fails, I will have no option left than to either report this case to the United Nations Human Rights Division or to seek Legal redress in the International Court of Justice where issues in this matter will be professionally and humanly handled and the Malaysian, Police, the immigration and the airlines will be my witnesses on this matter.

Thank you.
