Bolivia Visa From Buenos Aires
For most of the counties, you will get visa on arrival. Charge is nearly 55 dollars but for US citozens you need special papers and charge is 150 dollars. I am Indian and living in Buenos Aires, Argentina in work permit. Most of the countries fall under category 2 where you can apply for visa earlier but you will also get visa on arrival. I have just gone for a visa from Buenos Aires and the process gone well.
If you are on work permit you need to submit following documents:
Flight tickets and hotel booking details (print outs or xerox copy)
passport size photo covering 80% of the face in white background
bonafide letter from your employer
xerox copy of the front side of your credit card
account statement either from country of living or from country of citizenship with balance of atleast 700 dollars
Original passport and a xerox copy of it (all used pages including data pages)
you need visa fee in cash (peso or dollar) - for one of my friends it was free of cost

just walk into the embassy and process will go smooth. And they speak english.

Bolivia Visa
Hi, I am a Malaysian and will travel to Buenos Aires and planning to travel Bolivia in September. I know that Malaysia fall under Group 2 that require a visa to visit Bolivia. Can I apply the visa in Buenos Aires? How long it take to process the visa? Thanks

layover visa requirements
I am from the states but am living in BA for the time being. I have booked a flight to Cusco Peru but have a 10 hour layover in Bolivia. Is it necessary to have a visa if i am only going to be in the airport waiting for a connecting flight? I have no visa and need to know if I can obtain one at the airport if necessary. My flight is on 4th of July so I do not have enough time to obtain a visa through the normal process. Tix are non-refundable. Thank you.
