I have USA passport. Do I need a visa to go into Sydney, Australia. If we do, how do I get the visa and how long does it take to get it done? Thanks. Chungming
We’re going to Australia,do we need a Visa? we’re a US Citizens.
I am aware of the export of live sheep and cattle from Australia to Islamic countries. I am greatly alarmed to read that it is not uncommon for ewes to give birth during transit, and for the lambs to be crushed to death underfoot. The conditions for animals on ships can be horrific, as they are crammed in like sardines, often covered in their own feces, unable to lie down, rest or have access to food and water. The brutal methods of Halal slaughter by Islamic people is a fate no creature should suffer, and is nothing short of being pure evil. Sheep and cattle are prey animals, they are fearful of rough handling and likely terrified of being put on ships. Many die in transit. I urge the Australian Government to stop this practice immediately. Animals are innocent creatures without a voice. The way a country treats its most vulnerable, including animals is a measure of its compassion. Being from the UK I love Australia and her people, and know we can all do better when it comes to Animal Welfare. Animals should not be seen as objects to be abused and exploited for monetary gain. Maybe some, can choose to turn a blind eye to the terrible fates that await gentle sheep as soon as they leave Australia, but I am not one of them. I beg you to make positive changes now!

To whom this may concern,
I will be travelling to Australia at the end of May with family. I am vegetarian and concerned about being able to eat. I always travel with food but understand there are strict regulations about bringing in food. Can I bring in peanut butter, bottled jelly, closed packages of almonds, walnuts, raisins?. What about anything canned, like fire roasted tomatoes or eggplant in a can? What about tortillas that are sealed in a bag? Granola bars, candy, cookies? What about packaged hot cereal or cold cereal? Don't want to bring in something and have it confiscated. Thank you for addressing my concerns. Normally, I even carry avocados and fruit, but I would assume those are a no-no.
Appreciate your help.
